Watch: Driving through the Green Lane in 2026

01:45 • POV Drive-through

Quick Answer

If you have purchased an e-vignette or have a Brobizz, always use the GREEN lanes. Your license plate is automatically recognized — just drive through at reduced speed (30 km/h), no stopping required.

Which Lane Should You Use?

Approaching the toll station (Betalingsanlæg) can be confusing due to the multiple colors. The station is located on the Swedish side of the bridge. As you approach, you will see large LED signs indicating the lane types.

IMPORTANT: Never Reverse

If you realize you are in the wrong lane (e.g., you entered Blue but have an E-vignette), do not reverse. It is extremely dangerous and illegal on the motorway.

Instead: Press the help button on the terminal. A staff member will speak to you and open the barrier or guide you.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: I bought a ticket online. Which lane do I take?

Take the GREEN lane. The cameras will read your license plate and the barrier will open automatically.

Q: What if the barrier doesn't open in the Green lane?

Don't panic. Wait a few seconds. If it still doesn't open, press the help button on the terminal. Do NOT reverse.

Q: Can I pay with euros in the Yellow lane?

Yes, the Yellow manual lanes accept EUR, DKK, and SEK banknotes. Coins are usually not accepted for foreign currencies.

Q: Is there a specific lane for motorcycles?

Motorcycles can use the Green or Blue lanes, but should exercise caution around barriers. We recommend the Manual (Yellow) lane if you are unsure.
