1. Definitions

  1. General Terms and Conditions: these terms and conditions.
  2. Operator / We / Us: Vignette & Peage Application Service B.V., trading as TheOresundBridge.com.
  3. Customer / You: the person who concludes a contract with us.
  4. Consumer: any natural person acting for purposes outside their trade, business, or profession.
  5. Service: the service offered on TheOresundBridge.com — purchasing and booking a prepaid Øresund Bridge crossing ticket on your behalf.
  6. Service costs: the amount payable by you, including VAT, for the crossing ticket and our service fee.
  7. Agreement: the contract for the purchase and booking of a prepaid Øresund Bridge crossing ticket.
  8. Øresund Bridge: the toll bridge connecting Denmark and Sweden, operated by Øresundsbro Konsortiet.
  9. Crossing ticket: a prepaid ticket valid for one year for a single trip or a return trip across the Øresund Bridge, linked to a specific vehicle type and licence plate.
  10. E-confirmation: the digital confirmation, including a QR code, that we send you by email once your crossing ticket has been issued.
  11. Cooling-off period: the 14-day period during which a consumer may exercise their right of withdrawal.
  12. Withdrawal: exercising your legal right to cancel a distance contract within the cooling-off period.

Important: We are a third-party booking service provider. We are not the official Øresund Bridge operator (Øresundsbro Konsortiet). We purchase and book crossing tickets on your behalf and charge a service fee for this convenience.

3. Applicability

  1. These terms apply to every offer we make and every contract between you and us.
  2. These terms are available on our website before you complete a purchase. You can save or print them at any time.
  3. These terms apply to all customers, including consumers as defined in Book 6, Article 230g, of the Dutch Civil Code.

4. The Agreement

  1. The agreement is concluded when you accept our offer (complete checkout) and meet the conditions (provide valid details and payment).
  2. We will immediately confirm your order electronically.
  3. We use appropriate security measures for electronic payments and data transmission.

With your order confirmation, we provide:

  • Our contact details for questions or complaints
  • Information about your right of withdrawal
  • The total price, including VAT
  • The withdrawal form

5. Your Right of Withdrawal (Consumers)

  1. You may cancel within 14 days without giving a reason.
  2. The 14-day period starts the day after you complete your purchase.
  3. However, when you purchase a crossing ticket, you expressly request that we book and issue it immediately. By completing checkout, you acknowledge that:

    • You want the service performed immediately
    • Once your crossing ticket has been issued and the e-confirmation sent, the service is complete
    • You waive your right of withdrawal once the ticket has been issued
  4. This is because an issued crossing ticket cannot be “returned” — it is linked to your vehicle type and licence plate, which the toll station camera uses to recognise your vehicle and open the barrier automatically.

6. How to Withdraw

  1. To withdraw, contact us by email at support@theoresundbridge.com or use the withdrawal form below.
  2. You must notify us within the 14-day cooling-off period.
  3. If you withdraw after requesting immediate performance, you will pay for the portion of the service already completed.

Note: By requesting immediate performance of the service (issuing of your crossing ticket), the Consumer acknowledges that they lose their right of withdrawal once the Service has been fully performed (the ticket has been issued).

7. Refunds

  1. We will acknowledge your withdrawal request promptly.
  2. If eligible for a refund, we will process it within 14 days using your original payment method.

What we may deduct from your refund:

  • Payment processing fees: Our payment processors (PayPal, card providers, and local payment methods) charge us non-refundable transaction fees. We may deduct these from your refund.
  • Currency conversion fees: If you paid in a currency other than EUR, any conversion fees applied to your original payment are non-refundable and may be deducted from your refund.

Typical payment processor fees range from 1.5–3% depending on your payment method. Currency conversion fees vary by provider.

We will confirm the exact refund amount before processing — no surprises. Refunds are otherwise free of charge.

8. When Withdrawal Is Not Possible

You cannot withdraw after the service is fully completed if:

  • You expressly requested immediate performance (issuing of your crossing ticket)
  • You acknowledged that you waive your withdrawal right once the ticket has been issued

Both conditions are confirmed during checkout.

9. Prices

Our prices include:

  • The official Øresund Bridge crossing toll fee, as set by the bridge operator
  • Our service fee for booking and support

All prices include VAT. The total price is shown before you pay — no hidden fees.

10. Our Guarantee

  1. We guarantee that your crossing ticket will be correctly booked and linked to the vehicle type and licence plate you provided.
  2. Fine guarantee: If you receive a fine due to an error on our part, we will:

    • Refund the cost of your crossing ticket
    • Cover the fine amount
  3. This guarantee applies only to errors caused by us, not to errors in the information you provided (e.g., incorrect licence plate or vehicle type).

11. Delivery

  1. We book your crossing ticket as quickly as possible — typically within minutes.

    You will receive:

    • A confirmation screen immediately after payment
    • An email with your order details
    • An e-confirmation with a QR code once your crossing ticket has been issued
  2. Your crossing ticket is valid for one year and may be used for a single trip or a return trip across the Øresund Bridge.

12. Payment

  1. Payment is due immediately at checkout.
  2. You must ensure the details you provide (licence plate, vehicle type, email) are accurate.
  3. If you notice an error, contact us immediately by email at support@theoresundbridge.com.

13. Correcting Mistakes

Before your crossing ticket is used:

You can change your licence plate number, vehicle type, and country of registration once by contacting support.

Contact us by email at support@theoresundbridge.com if you need assistance.

14. Complaints

  1. Complaints should be submitted by email to support@theoresundbridge.com.
  2. Describe your complaint clearly and include your order number.
  3. We will respond within 14 days. If we need more time, we will let you know.
  4. Alternative Dispute Resolution: If you are an EU consumer and we cannot resolve your complaint, you can find an approved out-of-court dispute resolution body in your country via the European Commission's directory at https://consumer-redress.ec.europa.eu/dispute-resolution-bodies. For cross-border disputes, you can also contact your national European Consumer Centre (ECC-Net).

15. Liability

  1. We are liable for damages caused by our failure to properly book your crossing ticket, subject to Article 10 (Fine guarantee).

    We are not liable for:

    • Errors caused by incorrect information you provided
    • Issues with the Øresund Bridge toll system that are outside our control
    • Fines incurred outside the validity period of your crossing ticket
    • Crossings attempted after your one-year ticket has expired or after it has already been used for its single trip or return trip
    • Consequential damages beyond the fine guarantee

16. Privacy

We process your personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy, available on the Privacy Policy page. We comply with GDPR and do not sell your data.

17. Applicable Law

  1. These terms are governed by Dutch law.
  2. If you are a consumer resident in another EU country, you also benefit from any mandatory consumer protection laws of your country.
