Article 1 — Definitions

  1. General Terms and Conditions: these terms and conditions.
  2. User / We / Us: Vignette & Peage Application Service B.V., operating as theoresundbridge.com.
  3. Customer / You: the person who concludes a contract with us.
  4. Consumer: any natural person acting for purposes outside their trade, business, or profession.
  5. Service: the service offered on theoresundbridge.com—purchasing and registering an Øresund Bridge toll crossing on your behalf.
  6. Service costs: the amount payable by you, including VAT, for the toll and our service fee.
  7. Agreement: the contract for the purchase and registration of a digital toll crossing for the Øresund Bridge.
  8. Øresundsbro Konsortiet / Øresund toll system: the official Øresund Bridge toll system operated by Øresundsbro Konsortiet, accessible at oresundsbron.com.
  9. Toll booking: digital proof of toll payment for a specific vehicle and crossing, registered in the Øresundsbro Konsortiet system.
  10. Cooling-off period: the 14-day period during which a consumer may exercise their right of withdrawal.
  11. Withdrawal: exercising your legal right to cancel a distance contract within the cooling-off period.

Important: We are a third-party service provider. We are not the official Øresundsbro Konsortiet site (oresundsbron.com). We purchase and register toll crossings on your behalf and charge a service fee for this convenience.

Article 3 — Applicability

  1. These terms apply to every offer we make and every contract between you and us.
  2. These terms are available on our website before you complete a purchase. You can save or print them at any time.
  3. These terms apply to all customers, including consumers as defined in Book 6, Article 230g, of the Dutch Civil Code.

Article 4 — The Agreement

  • The agreement is concluded when you accept our offer (complete checkout) and meet the conditions (provide valid details and payment).
  • We will immediately confirm your order electronically.
  • We use appropriate security measures for electronic payments and data transmission.
  • With your order confirmation, we provide:
  • Our contact details for questions or complaints
  • Information about your right of withdrawal
  • The total price, including VAT
  • The withdrawal form

Article 5 — Your Right of Withdrawal (Consumers)

  1. You may cancel within 14 days without giving a reason.
  2. The 14-day period starts the day after you complete your purchase.

However, when you purchase a toll crossing, you expressly request that we register it immediately. By completing checkout, you acknowledge that:

  • You want the service performed immediately
  • Once your toll crossing is registered in the Øresundsbro Konsortiet system, the service is complete
  • You waive your right of withdrawal once registration is complete

This is because a registered toll crossing cannot be “returned”—it is linked to your licence plate in the Øresundsbro Konsortiet system.

Article 6 — How to Withdraw

  1. To withdraw, contact us via the Help Centre or use the withdrawal form below.
  2. You must notify us within the 14-day cooling-off period.
  3. If you withdraw after requesting immediate registration, you will pay for the portion of the service already completed.

Article 7 — Refunds

  1. We will acknowledge your withdrawal request promptly.
  2. If eligible for a refund, we will process it within 14 days using your original payment method.
  3. What we may deduct from your refund:
    • Payment processing fees: Our payment processors (PayPal, card providers, and local payment methods) charge us non-refundable transaction fees. We may deduct these from your refund.
    • Currency conversion fees: If you paid in a currency other than EUR, any conversion fees applied to your original payment are non-refundable and may be deducted from your refund.
  4. Typical payment processor fees range from 1.5–3% depending on your payment method. Currency conversion fees vary by provider.
  5. We will confirm the exact refund amount before processing—no surprises.
  6. Refunds are otherwise free of charge.

Article 8 — When Withdrawal Is Not Possible

You cannot withdraw after the service is fully completed if:

  • You expressly requested immediate performance (registration of your toll crossing)
  • You acknowledged that you waive your withdrawal right once registration is complete

Both conditions are confirmed during checkout.

Article 9 — Prices

  1. Our prices include:
    • The official Øresund Bridge toll fee (as set by Øresundsbro Konsortiet)
    • Our service fee for registration and support
  2. All prices include VAT.
  3. The total price is shown before you pay—no hidden fees.

Article 10 — Our Guarantee

  1. We guarantee that your toll crossing will be correctly registered in the Øresundsbro Konsortiet system.
  2. Fine guarantee: If you receive a fine due to an error on our part, we will:
    • Refund the cost of your toll booking
    • Cover the fine amount
  3. This guarantee applies only to errors caused by us, not errors in information you provided (e.g., incorrect licence plate).

Article 11 — Delivery

  1. We register your toll crossing in the Øresundsbro Konsortiet system as quickly as possible—typically within minutes.
  2. You will receive:
    • A confirmation screen immediately after payment
    • An email with your order details
    • A second email with your PDF confirmation once registration is complete
  3. Your toll booking is valid from the crossing date you selected.

Article 12 — Payment

  1. Payment is due immediately at checkout.
  2. You must ensure the details you provide (licence plate, email) are accurate.
  3. If you notice an error, contact us immediately via the Help Centre.

Article 13 — Correcting Mistakes

  1. Before your toll booking becomes valid: You can change your licence plate number and country of registration once via your dashboard or by contacting support.
  2. During your booking validity: You can correct up to two characters on your licence plate and change the country of registration once.
  3. Contact us via the Help Centre if you need assistance.

Article 14 — Complaints

  1. Complaints should be submitted via our Help Centre.
  2. Describe your complaint clearly and include your order number.
  3. We will respond within 14 days. If we need more time, we’ll let you know.
  4. EU Online Dispute Resolution: If you’re an EU consumer and we can’t resolve your complaint, you can use the European Commission’s ODR platform at https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr

Article 15 — Liability

  1. We are liable for damages caused by our failure to properly register your toll crossing, subject to Article 10 (Fine guarantee).
  2. We are not liable for:
    • Errors caused by the incorrect information you provided
    • Issues with the Øresundsbro Konsortiet system outside our control
    • Fines incurred before your booking’s validity period
    • Fines incurred after your booking’s validity period has expired
    • Consequential damages beyond the fine guarantee

Article 16 — Privacy

We process your personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy, available at theoresundbridge.com/privacy. We comply with GDPR and do not sell your data.

Article 17 — Applicable Law

  1. These terms are governed by Dutch law.
  2. If you are a consumer resident in another EU country, you also benefit from any mandatory consumer protection laws of your country.
